How does the alert button work?

When you press an alert button, Alerta:

1. Starts a phone call to a number you’ve set (for example: a family member, friend, or any contact you choose).
2. Sends an SMS message to your selected contacts with your name, phone number, and current location.

It works even if you don’t have internet access, using your device’s regular call and SMS capabilities.
